Steampunk from 888 is a very niche and extremely unique subculture which has risen to fame in recent years thanks to Victorian themed films such as Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and the Sherlock Holmes series starring Robert Downey Jr. This quirky trend is inspired by the era of industrial revolution and makes use of accessories such as top hats, pocket watches and ornate jewellery. Now Steampunk has even started to make waves in the world of online slots as seen in the great game.
Theme
The game is set inside a strange flying craft complete with whirling dials and turning reels as well as a complex set of pipes and wires. Through a dimly lit window we can see smoggy cityscape, and on this window the reels and symbols spun. The symbols in the game include a top hat, a futuristic looking gun, a clock and the main male and female characters of the game (both of who are dressed head to toe in Steampunk style.)
How to play
Steampunk Nation is a five reel, 25 pay line slot with three rows. It’s up to you how many pay lines you play with, so before setting your bets simply set the number of lines from one to 25, and then adjust the value of your coins from 1p to £10. If you don’t like dilly-dallying when you gamble, make full use of the turbo-mode and auto-play buttons in the game. There is also a progressive jackpot to play for in Steampunk Nation. Keep an eye on the top right hand corner of the screen as you play, as the jackpot can be triggered completely at random at any time.
Bonuses and extras
A piece of railway track works as the scatter symbol throughout the game. If you’re lucky enough to find three or more of these scatters on the reels at one time then you will be treated to between 15 and 50 free spins which can be re-triggered during the bonus round.
