Mr Vegas Casino review
Mr Vegas is a brand-new site for 2017 that joined the market in late November, giving it quite the uphill struggle to compete, not only with established sites, but also with the smorgasbord of new names that joined the market this year.
Coming from ProgressPlay, one would be forgiven for assuming that this should be a top-quality site, as the network boasts the likes of Fruity King, Hippozino, Mako Casino, Maxiplay, and Spin Fiesta.
With a legacy like that, players expect bit things from ProgressPlay sites, which makes it even more of a surprise that Mr Vegas is, in almost every way, a total disappointment.
The one thing that is necessary if a site has any hope of breaking through the sea of competitors to make an impact on the online casino scene, is effort, and there doesn’t appear to have been any put in here.
Everything that Mr Vegas does reasonably well, is done as well if not better at numerous other sites, and aside from those, most other aspects of the site are dismal.
Design and theme
If you feel like what is written above may be unfair, a brief visit to the Mr Vegas site will likely cause that opinion to change.
If there’s one theme that its probably worth a new online casino not going for, it’s that of affluence and decadence, especially if that casino intends to suggest that concept through a black and gold colour scheme.
It is difficult to remember a time when a black and gold colour scheme didn’t feel derivative, but it was definitely a long time ago, and with its simple, dull, and well-worn colour theme being echoed across the entire design, which has nothing fresh or new, in fact, nothing that doesn’t feel entirely outdated, this is one of the most uninspiring website designs that we have ever seen.
Navigation is simple enough thanks to the traditional thumbnails on the homepage and clearly marked sections of the site, but that’s the least one expects from an online casino.
That’s the main problem here, the least one expects is the most that Mr Vegas provides, it feels like it was put together with an online casino generator tool, and not a good one at that.
The one saving grace that Mr Vegas has is that the collection of games on offer here are anything but boring, in fact, with titles coming from 1x2 Gaming, Eyecon, Microgaming, NetEnt, ProgressPlay, Quickfire, and Quickspin, you’d be hard pressed to find a new online casino that offered a greater variety of old favourites and lesser known games that you may not have discovered yet.
If you’re a slots fan, you’ll be spoilt for choice, with classics, new releases, and jackpot slots available, while table and card game fans also have a lot of options, included a decent number of live dealer games.
Keno, scratchcards, and bingo are also available, ensuring that there is something for everybody here.
But is it enough? The truth is, no, it’s not, by some distance. Yes, this may be an impressive selection of games for a new site, but it isn’t only new sites that Mr Vegas is fighting it out with, and as nothing else that is on offer here is in any way exciting, this site is destined for mediocrity at best.
