Playtech has released its new 2020 slot, Age of Gods: Ruler of the Dead. The slot is the latest addition to their Age of God series. The Greek mythological slot offers features such as stacked wilds and bonus rounds, and being part of the jackpot network, there are four progressive jackpots to be won. The RTP is set at 96.02%.
Slot details
Age of Gods: Ruler of the Dead is a 5-reel, 3-row slot with 25 fixed paylines and can be played across all devices. Bets range from from 5p up to £500 per spin. The reels sit in the background of the fiery underworld, and symbols include the 10-Ace royals, Gods Nyx, Persephone, Hermes and Hades. The latter awards x20 of the bet for five on a payline. There are two wild symbols, Tartarus and Cerberus, which both land stacked. Charon is the scatter.
Gameplay
Landing 3 Cerberus symbols on a payline triggers the Gates of Hell feature, where you choose one of the doors to reveal a multiplier worth up to x5 or Cereberus. There are six levels, but if Cerberus is revealed, the bonus round ends. If 3 Fate Sister symbols land, the Thread of Fate triggers. You then choose spindles, which will cut a thread and reveal a cash prize, but the feature ends if the thread doesn’t cut. The progressive jackpots trigger randomly. You choose from 20 coins, and if you reveal three matching jackpot symbols, you win one of the four jackpots, starting from a minimum of £50 to a minimum of £100k.
Age of Gods: Ruler of the Dead is a superb slot with excellent graphics and animations. No free spins are available, and the max win is meagre at 875x the bet. But I am sure the chance of winning one of the four jackpots will appeal to many.
