The United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) have placed Genesis Global under investigation after citing compliance problems. The issues have not been disclosed but yesterday, all UK affiliates were sent an email requesting a pause on all UK traffic until further notice.
Breached Licensing Conditions
Section 116 (2) of the gambling act 2005 was enforced against Genesis Global Limited which found they breached licensing conditions.Genesis Global Limited are responsible for a number of popular brands including Casino Cruise, Vegas Hero, Kassu, Pelaa, Casoola Casino, Casino Joy, Genesis Casino and more. The suspension of its operating license including casino, virtual sports and live betting is effective from 20th June 2020.
Email To Affiliates
The email received by affiliates yesterday stated ‘Genesis will be working extremely closely with the UKGC to resolve this matter as soon as possible. Until then, all UK players will be informed via on and off-site communications which include pop-up notification and email.’‘ Rest assured that we will do everything in our power to resolve this issue, but should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact you affiliate manager. We therefore ask you remove all our brands from your website until this matter is sorted.’The UKGC commented, “ We suspect Genesis Global Limited has breached a condition of the license (section 116 (2)(a) of the act) and is suitable to carry on the license activities (section 116(2)(c)(i)) of the act). We therefore consider it appropriate to suspend the license with immediate effect pending the conclusion of the review.”
