Ladbrokes Now Official Sponsor For Prestigious King George VI Chase

Previously sponsored by Rival brand 32Red, Kempton Parks most prestigious Grade 1 chase is now to be sponsored by Ladbrokes, in a five-year deal which was officially confirmed by Ladbrokes.

Ladbrokes King George VI Christmas Festival

The Grade 1 Chase will now be named Ladbrokes King George VI Christmas Festival, is the second biggest race after Cheltenham and takes place on the 26th and 27th December. The race will now feature the £250,000 Ladbrokes King George VI Chase, £130,000 Ladbrokes Christmas Hurdle and the £100,000 Ladbrokes Desert Orchid Chase.The new sponsorship agreement will be the largest horse racing partnership to date for Ladbrokes.Ladbrokes Coral PR Director Simon Clare commented,“ Ladbrokes has a long and proud history of sponsoring top class horse racing in this country, we are absolutely thrilled to be embarking on this exciting new sponsorship of the King George VI Chase and the two day Christmas Festival at Kempton Park.“ There are few races in the calendar that can boost the heritage and prestige of the Ladbrokes King George VI Chase, and it is always one of the top ten betting races of the year, making it a perfect fit for Ladbrokes.”

The new partnership comes at an important time for Ladbrokes business, with more bets being placed at this time of year. The new Ladbrokes sponsorship, coupled with the partnership with Coral and The Welsh Grand National at Chepstow, December 22nd, the new sponsorship deal cements GVC’s presence across the horse racing calendar.
