Bookies are predicting the outcome of the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 final on BBC1 this Saturday. Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher is a clear favourite to win followed by Eastenders Emma Barton with Karim Zeroual to be placed third.
Huge Slip Up
Bookmakers made a huge slip up over the past few weeks as they concentrated on I’m A Celebrity, which caused a huge stir after Jacqueline Jossa’s shock win. The odds for the winner were pinned on Corrie’s Andy Whyment, the late comer was pipped to win from the moment he entered.Punters cashed in big time after the shock win with bookmakers believing Andy was a definite to win. Jacqueline’s win has gone down as a disastrous result for special bookmakers.Alex Apati for Ladbrokes said,“Jacqueline caused a huge upset as far as the odds are concerned and thousands have cashed in on her after we put all our eggs in the Andy Whyment basket.“ Corrie’s Kirk looked nailed on to win the show from pretty much the moment he entered and his odds were probably too short to back, meaning punters went looking for better value elsewhere in the betting.”Bookmakers are on the ball for this years Strictly winner after contestants have already revealed what dance they are to perform.Ladbrokes said,“ We’re not expecting any upsets on Strictly stage this weekend, with Kelvin running away with things in the betting.”
Firm Favourite
It’s not quite in the bag yet, the beginning of the week showed odds of Kelvin walking away with the famous Glitterball trophy decreased from 77.8% to 71.4%.Kelvin has been a firm favourite amongst punters since he earned top points in the first week and then the third. Kelvin replaced Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing after he was forced to quit due to injury.The Strictly final airs on BBC1 on Saturday 14th December 2019 at 7.05pm until 9.10pm, there will be no show on Sunday.
