When Microgaming lost the DC license, and Playtech snapped it up, we were told by the Playtech that they would be focusing on developing a new set of slots to rival the old Microgaming hits, based on Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. Thus far, though, only 60s-themed Batman slots have been produced by Playtech. Now, there is light at the end of the tunnel, and Playtech has finally delivered on the first of the three Dark Knight trilogy slots, with Batman Begins hitting online casinos over the Easter weekend.
About the slot
The new Batman Begins slot features several locales for players to get to grips with, each one with their own special wild symbols, which can include spreading wilds, re-spin wilds, expanding wilds and multiplier wilds. The settings include Wayne Manor, the Monorail, Ra’s Temple, Arkham Asylum and of course, the Batcave.A Hot Spot feature stars in the new Batman Begins slot, and with it, players can fill up meters whenever a character lands in said spot. This will unlock new zones and locales, which as we’ve mentioned, bring new wild features to players. However, if you land Batman in the Hot Spot, he will expand to become a wild on the third reel.
Progressive Jackpots
Of course, the usual progressive jackpots are up for grabs too. There are four of those DC Universe progressive prizes up for grabs, each one triggered at random. In the bonus game which ensues, players can select from various blocks to match up 3 progressive jackpot symbols to win one of the four progressives. The feature is the same as in all DC superhero-themed slots from Playtech.Batman Begins should be the first of three new games launching over 2018 from Playtech, with The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises to follow.
