Yeti Casino Review
Normally the claim of being the “Coolest Online Casino” would be at least a little irritating, partly because the concept of “cool” is entirely subjective, and partly because it is never appealing when a brand-new casino announces itself as the best at anything, when you consider the amount of competition that exists.
However, Yeti Casino manages to swerve all this annoyance by having a theme to it that makes its slogan more of a good pun than it is an unsubstantiated claim of superiority.
Owned and operated by L&L Europe Ltd, Yeti Casino only joined the market in 2017, and seems to have its sights set on charming its way to success.
With so many of the newest sites taking themselves very seriously, looking to create an elegant, classic image with affluence at the forefront to aim at the high rollers who favour champagne and chandeliers, it’s nice to see a site with far more focus on the fun side of gaming, because, let’s face it, winning is nice, but the majority of us play for the enjoyment of it.
That isn’t to say Yeti Casino isn’t serious about gaming, because it clearly is, but it makes sure it offers entertainment and enjoyment for its players at the same time.
Design and theme
If you needed any reassurance as to the playful nature of the Yeti Casino site, you need to look no further than the image at the top of the homepage.
A yeti kicking back in a hammock surrounded by the artwork from popular NetEnt slot Aloha! Cluster Pays is a silly, yet charming image that immediately sets the tone for this casino.
At this point, there is a trap that sites like Yeti often to fall into, and that is covering the homepage in a smorgasbord of similar images, creating something that is, quite simply, difficult to look at.
We’ve seen it many times before, but seems that Yeti Casino has too, because they artfully sidestep this risk by bringing a subtler approach to the rest of the design.
Putting nice looking thumbnails front and centre that allow instant access to popular games, there is a gentle blue backdrop behind them, which allows the artwork of the games themselves to bring the colour for most of the site, while also ensuring the games-first nature of Yeti Casino is as apparent as its love of fun.
The makers of the Yeti Casino site could have really messed up their design here, because the concept ran the risk of being too much, but they have found a perfect balance and created a stunning site.
It could be argued, although it is possibly a little unfair to do so, that Yeti Casino is excellent at everything, except casino games.
It isn’t that the games on offer here are bad, because they certainly aren’t, but with only Amatic Industries, Microgaming, and NetEnt providing the titles for this site, there simply isn’t enough of them.
When most of Yeti’s competitors are offering titles from a much higher number of developers, it is impossible for this collection to stand out, and that’s a real shame.
There are some decent games on offer here, obviously, as the three brands that are supplying them all have excellent offerings, so slots fans and lovers of table and card games can all find something to enjoy here, but the selection is going to need to increase if Yeti Casino is going to offer an array of games that matches the rest of its services.
There’s time though, this is a new site, and hopefully they will get more developers on their side soon. If they do, then this will be a brilliant online casino.
