Dream Jackpot Review

Dream Jackpot is a relatively new site that, one assumes, has gone for something of a retro theme. For assumes, read hopes, because if the retro look is not intentional here, that’s a bit embarrassing. Nobody wants to find out that this site thought its look and tone were fresh and new in any way.

Dream jackpot has recently changed its software from White Hat Gaming to Aspire Global International Ltd and holds a license from the UK Gambling Commission  Ltd and the Malta Gambling Authority via AG Communications Ltd.

Vintage styling is not a bad thing by any means, some of the most popular sites have gone for a more classic look, bringing back memories of the days of arcades and 8-bit gaming, and when it’s done right, it can be excellent. When it’s done right.

Unfortunately, Dream Jackpot doesn’t do it right, at all. This online casino, as the name suggests, is focused on jackpot games, and is clearly designed with high-rollers in mind, based on its painting-by-numbers luxury-themed design concept (which we will get into.)

Jackpot games, especially jackpot slots, have a definite popularity in the modern online casino world, there’s barely a month that goes by without a story of some unexpecting player taking a 25p spin on a progressive slot and instantly becoming a multi-millionaire.

However, jackpot games are available everywhere, and just because Dream Jackpot has put such titles front and centre does not guarantee it any level of success.

The world of online casinos is becoming more competitive by the day, and Dream Jackpot is going to have to bring a lot to the table in order to succeed, or even just survive.

Design and theme

The welcome offer at Dream Jackpot is genuinely impressive, with a huge welcome bonus for new players (check promotion to see what the current welcome offer is) so it’s no surprise that this promotion is front and centre of the design.

However, in terms of being impressed by any part of the design theme here, that’s about where it stops.

The site is messy, with far too much going on, sports cars, yachts, champagne bottles, and various casino-based images such as slots and chips are forced together in an obvious attempt to present the concept of decadence, but it only succeeds in making this site look like it’s trying too hard, something which does not match with its concept at all.

The images themselves are too bright, too bold, and feel far too old-fashioned, and not in the way that will give anybody a nice sense of nostalgia.

Navigation is simple enough, and that’s certainly helped, but when you weigh it up against the frankly dismal design that Dream Jackpot has, it isn’t close to enough, not even when combined with the aforementioned welcome bonus.

Games

If the design doesn’t work (and it really doesn’t here) then the games on offer need to be incredible, and in Dream Jackpot’s defence, it is.

With titles coming from a veritable who’s who of established and up-and-coming software developers, including 1X2 Network, Aristocrat Gaming, Blueprint Gaming, edict egaming, ELK Studios, Evolution, Ezugi, Leander Games, Microgaming, NetEnt, Aspire Global, Novomatic, NYX Gaming, Quickspin, Stars Group, and  Thunderkick, Dream Jackpot genuinely has one of the best selection of games around, especially amongst recently released sites.

Video slots, jackpot slots, table and card games, scratchcards, and a live casino ensure that whatever tastes you have, and whatever mood you happen to be in, you will always find a game to suit your needs at Dream Jackpot, something that few sites can claim (although many try).

A terrible-looking package, that holds an amazing selection of games, Dream Jackpot is evidence that a book should not be judged by its cover, but it would be nice if the design was sorted out a bit soon!
