Casimpo Casino review

Casino was named by combining the word ‘Casino’ and ‘Simple’, clearly after the decision was made that Casimpo was a silly name, which was almost definitely the correct choice.

Casimpo feels familiar from the outset, and not for good reason. The name, the design, even the logo are all vaguely reminiscent of popular online casino site, Casimba.

While none of these similarities would be enough on their own, the fact there are so many suggests that the operator of this site is trying to capitalise on the popularity of another online casino, and as that operator is ProgressPlay, it’s easy to believe.

ProgressPlay may have, at one time, been genuinely passionate about creating new online casino sites that were fresh and exciting, but it feels like that faded some time ago, and these days, ProgressPlay tend to just churn out countless similar looking sites, none of which have anything particularly exciting about them.

When an operator’s casinos do not even stand out from each other, the chance of creating any meaningful impact on the wider online casino industry seems highly unlikely, and the quantity over quality approach the operator seems to take may be their attempt to balance that.

For whatever reason, ProgressPlay does not have the best reputation in the modern market, and Casimpo is going to have to bring a lot to the table to be able to change that.

Design and theme

As mentioned above, the design here is more than a little similar to that at Casimba, but different enough for there not to be too much change of a lawsuit.

However, even if this site didn’t feel derivative, it would still feel boring, so there’s very little advantage to be had from reminding players of a more interesting online casino, which is what the design here seems to do.

The logo is dull and uninspired, while the majority of the design work is brought through the use of art from popular games.

In the banner, and in the thumbnails on the homepage, the design of the games themselves brings all the colour and artwork.

While in many cases this has been a sensible choice, allowing the games to be pushed to the fore while a subtle site design complements them, at Casimpo, it just results in the user noticing how unexciting the design work in the background is.

A pale blue colour scheme is about all there is here, as well as the awful font from the logo being used throughout the site, which is as unnecessary as it is unattractive.

A truly disappointing online casino in terms of appearance, Casimpo looks surprisingly bad, even for a ProgressPlay site.

ProgressPlay have been around a while, and, as such, have inked deals with a variety of top-quality online casino software developers, meaning that Casimpo can offer a strong range of games to players.

Coming from the likes of 1X2 Network, Betdigital, Big Time Gaming, Blueprint Gaming, Core Gaming, ELK Studios, Extreme Live Gaming, GW Games, Gamevy, Inspired Gaming, Microgaming, NetEnt, NextGen Gaming, SG Digital, SG Gaming, Thunderkick, Wazdan, and Williams Interactive, there is a plethora of options here.

Slots, table and card games, live casino titles, progressive jackpot games and more can be found here, but is it enough?

The truth is, no, no it isn’t, for the simple reason that there are other online casinos which have an equally impressive, if not better collection of games.

When the array of titles on offer is the only upside to Casimpo, it needs to bring more than any other site, and put quite simply, it does not.
