Others

If you are looking to find any level of success in a highly competitive industry, the first thing you should make sure of is that you have a name that is easy to find through online search engines.

What you definitely do not want, is a name that is practically impossible to Google, which makes Others a very bad decision for a software developer name.

Despite having over 20 games to their name by this point, there is very little known about Others, because any information their may be, can’t be found.

What’s in a Name?

It may seem unfair to focus on this one aspect of Others when writing of what is, undoubtedly, a talented software developer, but the choice made to call the company Others is likely to have more impact on the progress of this developer than anything else.

Others have deals with some big names that see their titles being offered at the likes of bet365, Coral, DrueckGlueck, and more, so the chances are you may well have crossed paths with games from this developer on the past, but due to the name, you might well have not noticed!

Games

Like most developers, Others like to think of themselves as a developer that is bringing something new to the busy iGaming market, but many of the slots released by Others suggest otherwise.

Alice in Wonderland, Book of Horos, Grand Gems, and Mayan Legends all take well-worn concepts, and do nothing new with them whatsoever.

There are some exceptions to this rule, though, most notably the wonderfully ridiculous Pigasus, a slot based around flying pigs that is colourful, fun, and entertaining.

If Others produce more slots like Pigasus, and maybe change the Others name to something that doesn’t make the company invisible, this is a developer that might just have a chance.

Matthew Kennedy
Co-founder & Technical Director at Play Cash Games

Matthew Kennedy co-founded Take Marketing Limited in 2008 alongside Becky Mosley and has worked in the UK online gambling industry ever since. He runs the technical side of the operation, building and maintaining the platforms that power Play Cash Games and the wider Take Marketing portfolio.

Matt's role is hands-on. He writes the code behind the offer feeds, the comparison tools readers use, and the back-office systems that keep every casino listing accurate and current. If you have used a feature on this site, the chances are he built it. He is also responsible for site performance, mobile usability, and the technical SEO that lets a small independent comparison site compete with much larger publishers.

Over 17 years in the industry, Matt has worked directly with affiliate platforms, casino operators, and software providers. He has seen the market move from desktop Flash slots to mobile-first HTML5, lived through every iteration of UK Gambling Commission rules, and built the systems that keep our coverage compliant as regulation evolves. He has a particular interest in responsible gambling tooling and player-fund safety — the parts of the industry most people do not see but that matter most.

Matt is a Companies House registered director (Take Marketing Limited, company no. 07619813) and is based in Lincolnshire, England.
