Ongame

Ongame is a large poker network that was launched in 1999 as The Poker Room. After achieving considerable amounts of success by attracting lots of top poker sites, the network underwent a rebranding and became known as Ongame, after the Swedish company, which owned it at that time.

Bwin, a company that specialises in sports betting, purchased Ongame back in 2005 and merged its own poker network with Ongame’s existing poker network. The new and larger network was able to attract many more poker sites. Though poker is the focus of Ongame, it also offers a range of other games, such as slots, table games and video poker games. Most of the casinos that have games developed by Ongame are already part of the Ongame network; there are some casinos that have games by Ongame but aren’t part of the wider network.

Ongame Network

One of the great things about Ongame is that it’s selective about what poker sites becomes part of its network. It doesn’t just accept any poker sites; instead, only the best ones get listed. Ongame is also selective when it comes to its customers. This does mean that the network has fewer players than others, but Ongame believes that being selective allows for players to have a much better gambling experience. If you qualify for membership, Ongame will pit you against players of similar experience levels; this prevents newbies from being paired up with players who are advanced for them and vice versa. Pairing up players based on their skill level allows for fair play for all.

Ongame’s software is fully compatible with both Macs and PCs. There is an Ongame app available, though only a selection of the poker rooms are available on the app.
