Taxi was a hugely popular sitcom which aired from 1978 to 1983. As well as winning countless awards and launching the career of comedy icon Danny DeVito, this TV classic, which is based on New York City cab drivers, is also the inspiration for the Taxi slot game by Leander Games.
Theme
The reels are set in front of a Manhattan night sky and symbol include photographs all of the beloved characters from the show like Bobby, Jim, Tony, Elaine and everyone’s favourite Louis (who was played by Danny DeVito himself). A fast-paced seventies style soundtrack plays in the background, occasionally interrupted by the blare of a car horn.
