Deep in the undiscovered jungle is a dark world of deadly animals, ruled by the mighty gorilla. Primate King is the beautifully design slot from Red Tiger that has become a player favourite on release. It features stacked symbols, wilds, sticky wilds, random multipliers and an RTP range averaging at 94.68%. It is a highly volatile slot that uses HTML5 technology and therefore available to play across all devices. Bets range from 10p to £10 a spin and the top payout is 3800x your stake.

Primate King Design

This isn’t your average funky jungle theme, it’s actually quite dark and dramatic with skulls scattered about, a misty fog in the distance, decaying stone buildings and dark greenery making up the background. The graphics are exceptional and highly detailed, and there is a rhythmic soundtrack adding to the atmosphere. The card suits make up the lower values and these are framed in wood with chains encasing them. The higher value symbols are a map and compass, a snake and a chest of gold coins. The latter is the most valuable paying 30x your stake for 6 on a payline. There is also the gorilla which is the wild and can replace all regular symbols.

Gameplay and Features

There are no complex features here and gameplay centres on the gorilla wilds which can come with various modifiers to spice up the action. Some symbols have gold coins attached and when they land, the coins are collected in a meter. Once the meter is full, the Primate Wild Upgrade is activated. The first upgrade turns all regular wilds into stacked wilds, 4 symbols high. The second upgrade (when you fill the meter again) applies a random multiplier to the stacked wilds, and the third upgrade turns the stacked wilds into a sticky reel, which stays in place until you’ve pocketed at least 1 winning combination. Once you’ve unlocked the 3 upgrades, fill the coin meter again and you’ll get an additional 6th reel added to the grid. This is only filled with high value symbols and boosts your wins greatly. At any point in the game, when you land a wild but don’t form a win, a large gorilla can appear on the screen to smash away all lower value symbols. Then high value symbols drop down to fill the positions and hopefully form a new win.

Verdict

This is a brilliant game with superb animations and solid gameplay. Although it’s very straightforward to play, Red Tiger have made some innovative features to keep you engaged and overall, it’s well worth checking out.
