Ainsworth’s latest slot is an Asian themed slot called Moon Dancer. Features on this high variance game include wilds, scatters, multipliers free spins, bonus wheels, 4 jackpots and an RTP of 94.74%.

Slot details

Moon Dancer is a 5 reel, 50 payline slot which can be played across all devices from £1 up to £20 per spin. The graphics are all high quality and the animations are very well done. The reels are set on an embossed red background with a bonus wheel on either side.Symbols are in 3D and consist of the 9 to the Ace royals, a jade pendant, a paper lantern, a lotus flower, a koi carp and a gold ingot. The latter 2 have the highest value and are worth x6  your wager for 5.The geisha girl is the wild symbol and will only appear on the 2nd and 4th reels. You also have a pagoda scatter and a wheel scatter.

Gameplay

Landing 5 or more of the wheel scatters in view on a single spin, will trigger the bonus wheel where you can win a cash prize or one of the jackpots. Depending on the number of scatters, a multiplier worth from x1-x5 will be applied to any winning combinations. You then move on to the free spins round. 5 scatters will give you 12 free spins, 6 will give you 12 free spins, and 7 or 8 will award you with 18 free spins. During the feature, temple scatters can appear on the 1st and 5th reels and all royal symbols will be removed from play.Landing 2 scatters on the same spin will reward you with 3 Lucky Multiplier Bonus Spins, and stacked wilds can land on the middle reel and will have multipliers worth up to x5 attached.

Verdict

Moon Dancer is visually pleasing and gives you plenty bonus features, but the graphics are the same as you would see on any other Asian themed slot. The downside is the low RTP and the maximum win of x300 of your wager in the base game. However, the top jackpot of £50k might tempt some players to give it a spin or two.
