Software developer Pragmatic Play have released a new Aztec themed slot called Gems Bonanza. Features include progressive multipliers, tumbling reels, 5 modifiers and the potential to win up to x10,000 of your wager.

Slot details

Gems Bonanza is a high variance slot with an RTP of 96.59% and is played across an 8 x 8 grid, utilising the cluster pays mechanic. Wagering starts from 20p up to £100 per spin and the game is playable on all devices. The reels are set inside an Aztec structure with a burning furnace. Symbols are various coloured gems of blue, brown, green, pink, purple, turquoise and red. The latter is worth x1,000 of your wager for 25 in a cluster.

Gameplay

Random modifiers can appear at any time in the base game. A coloured mark can appear behind any symbol and if you land a winning combination containing the marked symbol, it will activate one of the following modifiers:The Nuclear is the blue mark and will remove all symbols from the grid and new ones will fall into place. The Wild Gem is the pink mark and all instances of 1 randomly chosen symbol will transform into wilds. The Squares is the brown mark and 2×2 symbols will be added at random. The Colossal Symbol is the red mark and 3×3, 4×4 or 5×5 colossal symbols will be added to the grid.Lucky Wilds is the green mark and 5- 15 random wilds will appear on the grid. Each winning symbol is added to the Gold Fever meter and when you have collected 114 of them from consecutive wins, the Gold Fever Progressive feature will come into play. There are 5 levels to climb and the modifiers will also be in play. You will start with a x2  multiplier which will increase on each completed level up to x10. The features ends when you have collected enough symbols to progress to the next level or you have used all of the modifiers.Gems Bonanza is a totally immersive game which is packed full of features. I really enjoyed the addition of the modifiers and the fact that they can be used in the bonus games. Fans of the cluster pays mechanics will love this slot and of the course the potential to pocket up to 10,000 of your wager.
