Yggdrasil Gaming invites you join the dog bandits in the Wild West, with their new slot release, Desperate Dawgs. Features include 3 bonus games which include wilds, free spins and multipliers, and there is a top prize of x3,902 your wager.

Slot details

The game takes place in a dusty Western desert with wooden framed reels and cacti and rocks in the background. The design seems a little outdated with an uninspiring soundtrack.Desperate Dawgs has 5 reels and 20 paylines and is playable across all devices from 20p to £100 per spin.Symbols are the lower value card suits, a pistol, a sheriff’s badge and the game logo. The latter is the most lucrative and will pay out x25 your wager for 5 on a payline. The barrel is the wild symbols and can substitute all others barring the 3 bonus symbols.

Gameplay

Each dawg offers a different bonus feature as follows:Landing at least 3 Wagon Train scatters will activate the Wagon Trail Bonus game where you choose one of 3 wagon trains to reveal a prize. The prizes will be higher if you have landed more scatter symbols.3 or more Crime Spree scatters triggers the Crime Spree bonus game. You receive 10 free spins which have an increasing multiplier worth up to a maximum of x30. The feature can also be re-triggered.Landing a Bank Buster scatter on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels, brings the Bank Buster bonus game where you try and crack the code of one of the safes. All you have to do is enter a number on your keypad and the safe will then reveal a cash prize.

Verdict

The game was fun to play, but I don’t think it will appeal to everyone. I fell the developer could have worked better with the visuals to make it look more modern. This is a low – medium variance slot and the RTP is lower than I would prefer at 95.03%.
