Charlie Chance and the Curse of Cleopatra is the 3rd instalment in the Charlie Chance series developed by Play N Go. Features include synched reels, progressive win multipliers, 3 game modifiers and a top prize of 5,500 x the total bet.

Slot details

The action takes place across 6 reels and utilises the cluster pays mechanic. It’s medium variance with a slightly above average RTP of 96.25%. It’s available on desktop and mobile devices from 20p up to £100 per spin.Like other slots in the series, Charlie Chance and the Curse of Cleopatra has retro, 1930’s style animations, but this time Charlie’s adventures take him to ancient Egypt. The stone grid is set inside a tomb with a booty shaking Queen Cleopatra standing on a plinth to the right of the reels. Stylised symbols include hieroglyphics in various colours, Cleopatra as the scatter, a scarab the wild and Charlie Chance representing the bonus symbol.

Gameplay

There’s plenty of action with 5 features to play through, many trigger randomly on any spin, let’s take a look.Winning combinations are formed after landing 3-15 matching symbols in a cluster awarding 20x up to 500x the bet. Winning symbols are then removed from grid and new symbols replace them, this continues until no more wins occur.Win multipliers are active and these increase by 1x on each consecutive cascade to a maximum of 3x.Watch out for the flying scarab wilds, they trigger randomly on any spin. Between 5 and 8 wilds are placed in random positions on the grid. Once in position, a payout is considered.Randomly, after a winless spin, the Serpent’s Trail can trigger. A snake appears and moves across the screen creating a trail. The trail is either removed or they all transform into the same matching symbol. On any spin Cleo’s Columns can trigger and 2 reels now contain matching symbols hopefully creating a new winning combination. A 2×2 Charlie Chance symbol may appear, if it does it locks in position for the cascade. Low values touching the Mega Charlie symbol are removed and are replaced with new symbols. The Mega Charlie symbol then transforms into a Charlie Mega Wild which substitutes all barring the scatter. The free spins trigger after landing 3 or more scatters awarding 8 games. Each additional scatter awards another 4 free games. The win multiplier is also active and can increase up 10x.

Verdict

Charlie Chance and the Curse of Cleopatra is an entertaining game with plenty of action throughout. The bigger wins are found in the free spins with the addition of increasing multipliers for a potential top prize of 5,500x the bet.
