Playtech Will Host First GSA Blockchain Committee Meeting

The Gaming Standards Association (GSA) recently launched its new Blockchain Committee, following the announcement of the plans to do so at this year’s ICE Totally Gaming exhibition.The committee, which is chaired by CEO of AxesNetwork, Earle G. Hall, will have its first meeting on April 10th in London.The meeting will be hosted by Playtech, a GSA Platinum member that was founded back in 1999 and has since created an excellent reputation in the iGaming industry.Playtech Will Host First GSA Blockchain Committee Meeting 

The plan

With the Committee, the GSA intends to create industry standards for the use of blockchain technology.Blockchain is hugely important to the iGaming industry, as GSA President Peter DeRaedt explained in a press release:“We are very excited to evolve this committee into a significantly beneficial asset to our prestigious membership. The blockchain technology is poised to change our industry forever. We are very thankful to have someone with the vision, in-depth knowledge and exceptional drive that Earle brings to GSA. He will lead us into this new realm of technology that will affect every aspect of our evolution.”

Increased potential

Speaking for the first time as chair of the GSA Blockchain Committee, Earle G. Hall said:“Blockchain is the answer to so many of our inefficiencies. It is inherently designed for transparent, secure and distributed information flow. Blockchain will exponentially increase the potential for collaboration, efficiency and connectivity. I am very grateful to the membership for their vote of confidence with respect to my nomination. I am excited to pool together all the talent I can to serve our members in this need to embrace this revolution.”The hope is that blockchain technologies, under the eye of the new GSA Blockchain Committee, will add a whole new level of transparency to data sharing and security in the iGaming industry.
