Ladbrokes Rolls Out Betslip Generator For Retail Customers

The future is here, this is something we are all gradually getting used to, and in the world of sports betting, the race is on to be the first company to go fully digital, including in betting shops.Bookmaker Ladbrokes has taken a step further towards offering paperless betting across stores by adding a new extension to the Football Buddy feature (which is an extension of The Grid, the Ladbrokes retail app) that will allow customers to generate betslips on their mobile device instead of filling in a paper slip in-store.Ladbrokes Rolls Out Betslip Generator For Retail Customers

How it works

The customer would build an accumulator bet using Football Buddy, searching through various teams and markets. The new extension will then build a digital betslip and, once the customer has selected their chosen stake, will produce a barcode that can be scanned at a Ladbrokes shop counter in the place of a regular betting slip to place a bet.The receipt of the transaction will also be digital, the customer can scan this in The Grid app and track their bet, this also gives the chance to cash out where it is available.Ladbrokes Rolls Out Betslip Generator For Retail Customers

Digital Future Proofing

Head of Omnichannel product at Ladbrokes Coral, Darren Calvia, spoke of the company looking to get their customers used to digital betting:”We’re constantly looking at new ways of simplifying and improving our shop customers’ betting experience.””The new betslip generator is the next step in the digital future proofing of the Ladbrokes retail estate and it supports our business vision to move from analogue to digital experience in shops.”A big step forward for Ladbrokes in their goal to lead the charge into the future, paperless betting should put the company in a strong position for the future, while also reducing their carbon footprint along the way.
