The sheer number of new Playtech developed slots launched since late last year is staggering. The vast majority of those have been linked their newly acquired DC license, and we have seen old-school Batman and Superman themed slots, linked with new superhero slots based on modern movies too. Fresh from the news that they will be releasing a Man of Steel slot, and two Superman slots based on Christopher Reeve’s times as Clark Kent, Playtech have announced that three more slots are on the way.
New Slots
Online slot machine games based on the Batman & Superman movie, the Suicide Squad film, and the Justice League flick are set to launch this spring. Playtech announced the new games at the ICE Totally Gaming 2017 convention last week.It has been a few months since Microgaming lost the right to offer their Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises slots, due to the license being transferred over to Playtech. Playtech has a mind to develop slots to replace those two cracking games though. They are already hard at work developing slots based on Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises.
Progressive Jackpots
All the new Playtech developed slots will run on their DC Super Heroes Progressive Jackpot Network, which offers four randomly triggered progressive jackpot cash prizes to players. Although details about the new slots are scant at this moment in time, we are expected Playtech to steer clear of the features which appear in Microgaming’s Dark Knight series of games, with features more in line with those we’ve seen in Playtech’s other superhero themed slots far more likely.2017 is shaping up to be quite the year Playtech, and with over 20 new superhero slots released or being penned thus far, Playtech are well on course to overtake Microgaming as the most popular casino software developer for the very first time in their history.
