Leeds Receives Flutters $20.7m Innovation and Tech Hub in the Heart of the City

Flutter Entertainment who is a leading provider of online casino and sports betting solutions including brands Paddy Power, Betfair, and PokerStars, has opened one of the biggest technology and innovation hubs in Leeds UK.

New Jobs Created

The new hub will provide 1,700 jobs and 800 professionals in the industry working in key areas such as Global Sports Trading Platform, Digital Infrastructure, Platform Services, and Information Securities. The new hub will be driven to provide innovation within the group developing digital products for its global consumers.Based in Welling Street, the hub is one of the largest in the UK, where all 1,700 employers are housed under one roof. The development of digital products for a global audience will help inspire innovation across the group, alongside creating jobs locally in Leeds and surrounding areas.Other attributes will include:Floors dedicated to social activitiesIT Vending machines for certain equipment to free up resources and time for IT colleaguesCharging points for electrically driven vehiclesFurniture made from recycling materials

Kickstart Scheme

The new hub will also launch a self-funded initiative similar to the government Kickstart scheme. 13 roles will be created for young people at risk of long-term unemployment.
