Ladbrokes Launches We Glove It Campaign

It’s been a few days now since the boxing match between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury took place and Ladbrokes revealed a new campaign.With Fury being outspoken about how he will not be taking sponsorship or endorsements from gambling companies, betting operators have needed to be more creative, and Ladbrokes did that with We Glove It.

About the campaign

The We Glove It campaign has been created with help from marketing agency Cravens Newcastle, and features legend of British boxing Frank Bruno.Following on from the Ladbrokes’ hugely successful Brian Blessed Russian bear campaign during the football world cup this year, the operator, which is now under the GVC Holdings umbrella, focused on the big fight last Saturday to push the campaign.

Speaking of the We Glove It campaign, Managing Director of Ladbrokes, Phil Coverdale, said:“Ladbrokes loves big sports events, so in the build up to the big fight they wanted to ask the nation the question, “Who Do You Glove?” explained managing director Phil Coverdale.“Running across broadcast, digital, retail and building up to sponsorship of the fight live on BT Sport Ladbrokes are asking the nation if they glove Wilder or Fury.“Frank Bruno was the perfect big national icon to ask the big question.”Cravens were also behind the Bettors of Britain campaign, and while many within the industry were surprised by Ladbrokes decision to use the relatively new marketing agency as their creative lead may have surprised many, but the campaigns so far have impressed many, and We Glove It is expected to do much the same.
