PWR Bet is a pretty new online casino which has arrived on the scene at one of the very toughest times to do so.
The immensely competitive nature of the online casino market in the modern era means that any new online casino city has some serious challenges to overcome if it’s going to become competitive, or even if it’s going to make its way to the middle of the pack.
PWR Bet clearly trusts its own ability to do so, claiming itself as the “Fastest Growing” online casino site in the world, a boast that has absolutely no evidence to back it up whatsoever.
Regardless of how quickly this site may or may not be growing, this claim makes it clear that PWR Bet has high hopes for its own abilities, but are they founded?
This site is definitely off to a good start, as it is offered on the EveryMatrix platform, which is a platform that has gained a great deal of popularity with players over recent years thanks to many much loved sites using the software.
A good start is only that though, there’s no guarantee that an online casino is destined for success just because it has a trusted name behind it, it takes a lot more than that to stand out these days.
So, fastest growing or otherwise, what chance does PWR Bet have of succeeding in the modern iGaming world?
Design and theme
There’s nothing particularly special about the design work that is used here, apart from the fact that it is fairly reminiscent of a sports betting site, which, along with the name, makes us all wonder if PWR Bet had a different plan in mind to begin with.
Regardless, unoriginal or otherwise, this is a good looking site with a black and red colour scheme that has dashes of metallic silver to add a simultaneously high-octane and subtle feel to the site, something we didn’t know wed appreciate until we saw it!
There is a small piece writing promoting the site on the homepage that oddly only names two of the software developers providing the games, making us wonder how the others feel about that!
Scroll down the page and you will be met by a plethora of thumbnails allowing instant access to your favourite online casino games, separated by category.
You may expect the first (and therefore priority) category to be slots, as it normally is at online casinos, but that is not the case here, these thumbnails start with Live Dealer games.
There is no denying that live casino games are flying in terms of popularity at the moment, so it would be safe to assume we may see more online casinos moving their focus from slots to Live Dealer options as time goes on.
Games
An interesting and pleasant enough design scheme is lovely, and it does make PWR Bet nice to look at, but this isn’t a picture, it’s an online casino, and in that regard, it lets itself down a little.
Titles here come from a disappointingly short list of software developers, EGT, Evolution, Microgaming, NetEnt, and Play'n GO.
It isn’t that these are bad providers, in fact, they’re amongst the best, but when the majority of other sites are offering upwards of 10 or 20 developers, it simply isn’t enough to make any level of impact.
PWR Bet has the potential to be a solid online casino, but unless they (ironically) grow fast in terms of the games on offer, there is no chance that this site is going to be able to wrestle players away from sites offering much better choices.
