MGA
Grupo MGA is one of the biggest names in entertainment in Spain. Founded way back in 1976, the company has created arcade games, bowling alleys, and a host of other family-friendly entertainment centres, as well as developing numerous games for the land-based casino world.
With such a hold on the entertainment market throughout Spain, it is no surprise that as the iGaming world began to grow, MGA ensured that they got a piece of that pie too.
When the government of Spain legalised, and began regulating the online gambling market in 2011, MGA made the transition with haste, and their games can now be found at some of Spain’s biggest online casino sites.

Retro or Outdated?
When you play the games that MGA have produced, it may not be too complicated for you to guess that this is a company which started life in the 70s, and it feels like some of their concepts are still there.
To some, this could seem like a cool dose of retro nostalgia, while to others, it may feel more like MGA’s titles are simply stuck in the past.
It’s partly a question of taste, but also depends on the quality of the games.
MGA Games
There is no denying that the graphics and animations don’t feel like they’re out of the 70s here, but with numerous MGA games including images of scantily clad women, there’s certainly a specific audience they’re aiming at.
This isn’t the case with all games though, and the popular Bucaneros pirate-themed slot has proven that MGA can connect with a wide audience through the games they produce.
However, in terms of gameplay, there’s little that impresses even in this popular slot, which feels more like a 90ps fruit machine.
It’s impossible to argue with MGA’s legacy, but a step into the future would not go amiss!
