Ingenuity Gaming

The phrase “this software developer was formed by an experienced group of industry professionals'' is one that we all see quite regularly these days, with every new name on the market seemingly created by such people.

It’s understandable, with the competitive nature of the industry, that those in the know would be those who find successes creating software, but this is not exclusively a new habit.

Created in 2005, Ingenuity Gaming is a lesser known software developer which was created by a group of experienced programmers who were looking to move into the casino industry.

Originally formed with the intention of creating land-based games, which they did for a while, those behind Ingenuity soon realised that the iGaming industry was the place to be due to its rapid rate of growth (a rate that has not slowed down in the decade plus since, proving this decision to be a wise one).

Partnerships

Ingenuity Gaming may not be a name you know, but the partnerships they enjoy with industry giants including Microgaming’s Quickfire, as well as Amaya, Leander, and Playtech tell you all you need to know about the reputation that this company enjoys.

Ingenuity Games

Ingenuity Gaming have released a fair few games by this point, ranging from slots (2D and 3D video slots) to table and card games, as well as Keno and scratchcards.

As with most developers, the main focus is on slots. However, it is difficult to know how many games Ingenuity have actually developed, because their website is limited in the information it gives you, but their games can be found, with the likes of Choco Munch and Fortune Jump available at Titanbet, as well as William Hill and a few other high-profile casinos.

Ingenuity has not made the name it wants to for itself yet, but there’s still time.

Matthew Kennedy
Co-founder & Technical Director at Play Cash Games

Matthew Kennedy co-founded Take Marketing Limited in 2008 alongside Becky Mosley and has worked in the UK online gambling industry ever since. He runs the technical side of the operation, building and maintaining the platforms that power Play Cash Games and the wider Take Marketing portfolio.

Matt's role is hands-on. He writes the code behind the offer feeds, the comparison tools readers use, and the back-office systems that keep every casino listing accurate and current. If you have used a feature on this site, the chances are he built it. He is also responsible for site performance, mobile usability, and the technical SEO that lets a small independent comparison site compete with much larger publishers.

Over 17 years in the industry, Matt has worked directly with affiliate platforms, casino operators, and software providers. He has seen the market move from desktop Flash slots to mobile-first HTML5, lived through every iteration of UK Gambling Commission rules, and built the systems that keep our coverage compliant as regulation evolves. He has a particular interest in responsible gambling tooling and player-fund safety — the parts of the industry most people do not see but that matter most.

Matt is a Companies House registered director (Take Marketing Limited, company no. 07619813) and is based in Lincolnshire, England.
