Play N Go’s latest 2021 release Odin: Protector of Realms, is themed on Norse mythology. This cluster pays slot comes with 3 game modifiers and a potential top prize worth x5,000 your wager.

Slot details

Odin: Protector of Realms is played on a hexagonal 4-5-6-7-6-5-4 grid with wagering from 20p up to £100 per spin. With an RTP of 96.2% this medium variance slot is optimised for play across all devices. The design is certainly impressive with clear sharp graphics. The game takes place in Valhalla, with Odin on the right hand side of the reels with stone statues and a twinkling galaxy in the background.Symbols are lower value runes in green, blue, purple and red. Higher values are horns, swords, shields and hammers. The latter pays out x5,000 for a cluster of 37. The wild symbol is Odin’s spear and can substitute all other symbols.

Gameplay

You need at least 5 matching symbols in a cluster to form a win. These symbols are then removed from the grid and new ones drop down to replace them. The cascades continue until no more winning clusters are formed. All winning symbols are added to the ring meter and when you have collected enough, the Forged Ring feature is activated. There are 3 levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold and you need to collect 30, 70 and 120 symbols respectively for each level. The Bronze will add a winning cluster of at least 7 symbols, the Silver 12-19 symbols and the Gold 20-37 symbols.Odin can also trigger the reel modifiers at any time during play.Wisdom will upgrade the centre symbol to a high value symbol, or if it is a high value symbol it will upgraded to a wild.Power will randomly remove 2 symbols, but only if there are no winning combinations on the grid or you are only 5 symbols short of activating the Forged Ring feature.Glory will see 2-8 wilds appear on the grid in random positions.

Verdict

Odin: Protector of Realms is a solid game and the addition of the random modifiers adds more excitement to play. Although there are no free spins there is still plenty of action to enjoy. I am sure it will appeal to many players.
