Powered by Yggdrasil Gaming, Big Blox is a five-reel video slot with 243 ways to win. The game can be played from 25p to £100 per spin.

Theme

All of the action takes place in a jungle, which appears to be home to an ancient tribe. The reels are set within stone totem poles and symbols include mask faces made of rock in an array of different colours. The gold one acts as the wild symbol and appears on reels two, three, four and five. Lower value symbols take the form of intricately carved playing card symbols.

Big Block Feature

What makes this slot stand out is the Big Block feature. During a spin you’ll see a number of symbol spaces on the reels being surrounded by a gold square or rectangle. When the reels stop, every symbol spot inside this frame lands on the same symbol. The Big Block feature kicks in on every spin but randomly changes in size to take in more or fewer symbols. The smallest number of symbols it ever covers is four. If you’re lucky then it’s possible to land the golden wild symbol inside the frame, giving the potential for some pretty big wins.

Verdict

Big Blox is great to look at with a soundtrack that fits perfectly. The stone masks fit well with the Big Block feature and tie the whole game together really well. The only thing that perhaps lets this game down a little is the lack of a free spins round. However, the Big Block feature running on every spin does considerably boost players’ chances of winning.
