Northern Lights Gaming have teamed up with Microgaming for the release of Aztec Falls. Features include a Jackpot Wheel, sticky stacked wilds, coin falls, coin drops and a top prize of 5,000x the bet.
About Aztec Falls
Available to play across desktop and mobile devices, Aztec Falls is a 5 reel slot with 20 ways to win. Bets range from 20p-£40 per spin, it has a medium variance with an RTP of 96.08%.Drawing inspiration from the lost Aztec civilisation, the Pachinko design is much like a Penny Falls machine you would expect to see in an arcade. The game takes place deep within the rainforest with lush green trees and vines.Symbols on the reels include jade coloured J-Ace royals, and 3 Aztec masks, worth between x1-x8 the bet. The wild is worth x10 for 5 and it substitutes all symbols except the Aztec pyramid scatter.
Gameplay
The Cash Fall feature triggers randomly an when it does coins drop down into pockets below the reels which show values from 0-10. Once all the coins have dropped the values are added together and paid out.If a gold sun coin appears on the 5th reel the Coin Drop feature triggers and the pockets at the bottom rotates on each spin. Depending on which pocket the coin lands you’ll be awarded one of the following:Wild- all symbols on the coin trail transform into wildsJackpot- activates the jackpot wheelStacked- a respin is awarded with stacked symbols in playMultiplier- a multiplier of x2-x5 is applied to any winsBlank- no bonus feature is offeredThe Jackpot wheel pays the Mini, Minor, Super or Mega jackpots worth x30, x200, x1,000 and x5,000. You can gamble for a bigger win, the wheel has red and green segments, you need to land on the green to climb up the jackpot ladder in the hope of reaching the Mega jackpot worth x5,000. Hit a red segment and the feature ends.Next are the free spins, 3 pyramid scatters are needed on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels for 5 free spins. The pockets only show wilds and blanks this time and if it reveals a wild at the end of a spin, a stacked wild fills the entire reel above and remains sticky for the duration of the free spins.
Verdict
Aztec Falls is not a bad slot in terms of design, however it’s the features that bring the game to life. The Pachinko style game is central to gameplay coupled with the free spins, stacked wilds and of course the jackpots, it’s a thumbs up from me.
