Atlantic Crush, developed by Relax Gaming, invites you to explore the lost city of Atlantis, a rich and vibrant city that disappeared shrouded in mystery. This slot promises exciting gameplay and unique features to help reap the riches of the lost city.

About Atlantic Crush

Atlantic Crush features 5 reels and 5 rows. It doesn’t have traditional paylines as it’s a scatter pays slot. Wins are created by landing four or more matching symbols anywhere on the reels, triggering a cascade of new symbols to potentially form multiple wins on a single spin.

The slot is available on desktop and mobile devices from 10p to £100 per spin. Atlantic Crush is a highly volatile slot with an RTP of 96.09% and a max win of 10,000x the bet.

Inspired by the lost city of Atlantis, the slot is set at the city entrance and flanked by two giant statues of the God of  Sea and Water.

On the reels are low-paying symbols, including a blue water droplet, a green leaf, and an orange fire. The higher-value symbols are a green and blue stone, a red and green mask, and a red mask. The Wild has a ‘W’ design, and the Scatter is a stone slab with the word ‘Bonus’. You’ll notice the top portion of the grid features stone blocks while the bottom portion features the symbols. I’ll explain more about this further in the review.

Features

There are various bonus features in Atlantis Crush. These include Wilds, Cascades, Block symbols, Free Spins, Super Free Spins, and a Buy-In feature.

Tumble Feature

The Tumble feature triggers if 4 or more of the same symbol lands anywhere on the reels. The winning symbols are removed, and new symbols replace them, potentially leading to consecutive wins on a single spin. If all paying symbols are destroyed in a single cascade, the following cascade will deliver identical symbols.

Wild

The Wild is a substitute for all symbols and contributes to creating winning combinations.

Block Symbols

You’ll see two rows of Block symbols positioned above the reels. If a paying symbol is involved in a winning combination and is positioned directly under a Block, Block symbols appear:

Empty Block: Does nothing.

Horizontal Destroyer: All symbols in its row are destroyed.

Vertical Destroyer: All symbols in its reel are destroyed.

Diagonal Destroyer: Destroys its corner symbols.

Bonus Block: The free spin counter increases by whatever number appears on the Block.

Multiplier Block: Increases the win multiplier by 2x to 500x.

Fire, Water, and Plant Gem Blocks: Destroy all respective coloured symbols on the grid, and only the same symbols can drop in the next cascade.

Free Spins

The Free spins trigger when 3 Scatters land on a spin. The number of Free Spins you’ll receive is determined by the numbers on the active Blocks. The win multiplier during the base game carries over and does not reset during the free spins. Any Bonus Blocks activated during the free spins add more spins to the count.

Super Free Spins

The Super Free Spins could trigger randomly, replacing the regular Free Spins. The difference here is that only multipliers, Gems, or Bonus Blocks can be activated.

You can buy into the free spins for 70x the bet or Super Free Spins for 250x the bet, and both have an increased RTP of 96.48%.

Conclusion

Atlantic Crush is an engaging and visually stunning slot with a unique theme and a host of exciting features. The combination of Tumble mechanics, Block symbols, and various free spin rounds ensures that each spin is potentially lucrative. If you are a fan of Tumble games, Atlantis Crush is well worth a spin or two.
