The WING payment method is available to people living in Cambodia and it enables them to carry out online transactions, whether it’s paying household bills, making purchases of goods or services, making local transfers or topping up their phone accounts.

WING was launched in 2009 and has become Cambodia’s leading provider of online and mobile payment services. It can be used with two currencies: the Cambodian Riel and the US Dollar. Some payment methods only allow you to make deposits, but with WING you can make deposits and withdrawals in both currencies listed.

How to use WING as a payment method

It’s very straightforward to set up your WING account; once it’s been activated, you’ll be able to do plenty of things for free, though there are certain services that come with extra charges. For example, charges apply for changing the phone number linked to your account, changing currency, checking your balance and making withdrawals. Variable fees apply for making WING-to-WING account transfers and for making bill payments using certain methods; the fees vary depending on how much money has been transferred.

When you sign up to WING, you’ll receive your own WING Card. This comes with an 8-digit account number that’s unique to your account. As well as this, you’ll get a 4-digit PIN code that you’ll have to input every time you carry out a transaction.

You can use your WING Card to deposit or withdraw cash at more than 3,600 outlets throughout Cambodia. If you wish to do this, you’ll simply have to show your WING Card and then enter your PIN code. There’s also a mobile service available, which enables you to make deposits and withdrawals without having to use your card all the time.

This payment service aims to provide everyone in Cambodia with mobile financial services to make things easier and more convenient for them.

Co-founder & Technical Director at Play Cash Games

Matthew Kennedy co-founded Take Marketing Limited in 2008 alongside Becky Mosley and has worked in the UK online gambling industry ever since. He runs the technical side of the operation, building and maintaining the platforms that power Play Cash Games and the wider Take Marketing portfolio.

Matt's role is hands-on. He writes the code behind the offer feeds, the comparison tools readers use, and the back-office systems that keep every casino listing accurate and current. If you have used a feature on this site, the chances are he built it. He is also responsible for site performance, mobile usability, and the technical SEO that lets a small independent comparison site compete with much larger publishers.

Over 17 years in the industry, Matt has worked directly with affiliate platforms, casino operators, and software providers. He has seen the market move from desktop Flash slots to mobile-first HTML5, lived through every iteration of UK Gambling Commission rules, and built the systems that keep our coverage compliant as regulation evolves. He has a particular interest in responsible gambling tooling and player-fund safety — the parts of the industry most people do not see but that matter most.

Matt is a Companies House registered director (Take Marketing Limited, company no. 07619813) and is based in Lincolnshire, England.
