How did it work?
Solo Cards worked in much the same way as any other debit card. Once linked to a bank account, users could make payments online and in person using their card. The money was transferred fro the user's bank account to the merchant almost instantly, which made it a popular payment method for use on online casinos.
Using a Solo Card at an online casino
Making a deposit using a Solo Card at an online casino was relatively straightforward. All users had to do was select the Solo logo from the list of payment options then fill out their card details along with the amount they wished to deposit. The money would then be transferred from their bank account into their casino account, providing the bank account held sufficient funds. However, as Solo Cards were often issued to under 18s, some casinos chose not to accept the payment method to encourage responsible gaming.
