Romanian players are in for a treat this month, after Scandinavian online casino giant, Net Entertainment announced that they will be offering quality casino games to players in the Central European country.
Other Developers Have Signed Up
Net Entertainment’s games should be open and available for players to try their hand at from this week onwards in the country, after Romania decided to open up its online gambling market. Make no mistake about it though, Net Entertainment weren’t alone in being able to offers games to players in the country though. Other developers – and many of them – have joined them. Alongside Net Entertainment, NYX Gaming, PokerStars, 888 Holdings, Play ‘n Go, Evolution Gaming, and Yggdrasil have also signed up for a slice of the big Romanian online casino gaming pie.
Gambling Restrictions Lifted
Net Entertainment picked up its Romanian gambling license back in May, but it has taken a few months to iron out the kinks in the deal. The European Commission has been urging local gambling restrictions to be lifted, in favour of creating a more diverse market for online gaming, something the Romanians seem to have taken to heart.
First In The Region
Full licenses for foreign developers only began to be offered earlier this year, and the i-gaming in Romania is set to be one of the first countries in the region to prosper from such a deal. As well as the online casino games, Romanian players will also be available to enjoy mobile casino gaming, courtesy of NetEnt Touch, Net Entertainment’s mobile casino platform. Expect a flurry of new games, mobile and otherwise to be hitting Romanian casinos from this week onwards.
Try Them Out
If you are based in Romania and you are after top quality casino games, you’re in luck, with Gonzo’s Quest, Aliens, South Park, Mega Fortune, and many more due to arrive at your favourite casinos this week.
