Following the resignation of former CEO Henry Birch who went on to become Group Chief Executive at Sport Direct, all eyes have been on Rank Group, and who they would appoint to replace him.That question has been answered with the announcement of John O’Reilly as the new Chief Executive Officer of Rank Group.
About John O’Reilly
O’Reilly undoubtedly has experience in the industry, having overseen the growth within Ladbrokes’ digital services and the Coral online relaunch.Rank stated that the appointment of O’Reilly was to assist with their goals of developing digital services, and attracting younger players to their bingo sites to offset the declining attendance at UK bingo halls.

Rank also announced that Alan Morgan would be promoted from MD for retail at Mecca and Grosvenor to a full member of the board, with Burke saying:”I am also delighted that Alan is joining the board as Executive Director. With his in-depth understanding of our business, I am confident he will contribute significantly to the future development of Rank.”It’s clear that Rank are looking to the future, and these appointments should help with that.
