Devilfish Casino Review

There’s a few go-to ideas when an online casino is looking for a design concept, black and gold lavish stylings are popular, as are those themes you often also see in slot games, the likes of Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome, and… angler fish?

Devilfish Casino has taken the whole idea of an online casino in an entirely new direction by basing the site around one of the most famously ugly fish that has ever been found in any ocean.

It’s genuinely refreshing to find a site that does things so differently, aesthetically at least, and the more you examine the content and tone of the site, the more you realise that different is the intention in every possible way here.

Launched in 2007, Devilfish has seen a huge number of online casino sites come and go, and it has continuously evolved and changed itself to ensure that not only is it keeping up with the trends of the industry, it’s also managed to successfully feel different for a decade plus, and that really is quite the accomplishment.

It is the unique nature that makes Devilfish Casino stand out, however, and is a large part of the reason that the site has enjoyed success for as long as it has.

Design and theme

Red is the colour scheme here, and there really is a lot of red involved in the design. The grumpy looking Devilfish in the logo has an amusing, cartoon touch that is replicated by the tone of the design concept as a whole.

This is balanced with a decent dose of subtlety, which is necessary to ensure that the design doesn’t become too much at any point.

The thumbnails on the homepage which offer quick access to popular games have clearly been chosen due to the bright and bold colours in their artwork, which is equalised by a white background that allows the games to be the centrepiece, but provides enough white space to not put players off with too much colour and design.

Navigation is simple here too, with everything easy to find, with one click of the mouse between you and any games, promotions, or information that you may be interested in.

Games

Many older sites get left behind when it comes to games, because the industry has evolved to necessitate a host of different software developers providing the games for a site, and many established casinos not adapting.

There’s no such problem at Devilfish however, with games coming from the likes of BetSoft, ELK Studios, Leander Games, NetEnt, NextGen Gaming, NYX Gaming, Quickspin, Thunderkick, and White Hat Gaming providing the titles.

Granted, there are some big names missing here (IGT, Microgaming, Playtech, etc.) but there’s enough to keep players happy, and when you combine that with the excellent customer service and unique design, it makes Devilfish a tempting option.

Slots are present in abundance here, with a host of different titles to choose from, while table and card games including variations of blackjack, roulette, and video poker all available to keep your appetite satiated.

Devilfish hasn’t had a habit of stopping trying to improve so far, so one assumes there’s more games to follow in the future here too.

Devilfish Casino may be celebrating a decade in the iGaming industry, but this site feels as fresh as any new release, and fresher than most!
