If there was ever a less impressive description of an online casino, it’s hard to imagine what it could be.
We are not immediately discounting TopTally based on the name behind it or the sites its associated with, there are far more reasons than that to ignore the existence of this site, and we will be sure to get through all of them here.
Let’s start with the fact that this is a fairly new online casino that doesn’t seem to have any sense of urgency when it comes to attracting players.
This is an error in the iGaming world due to the high levels of competition that exist within the industry, meaning if you don’t put the effort in, you simply don’t get noticed.
Some sites just have a quiet confidence, aware that the content and style is enough to attract players, but that isn’t what it feels like here. It simply feels like TopTally is a site created to attempt to make money out of a lucrative industry without really trying.
Of course, that is an assumption and there is no evidence to prove that this is the logic here, but if it’s not it’s almost worst, imagine if this casino had been created by people who had worked hard, and this was all there was to show for it?
Design and theme
TopTally is not an unattractive site, it would be substantially more interesting if it was, instead, it’s just dull.
Seemingly designed to replicate every sports betting site ever created, for reasons that are at no point made clear, TopTally just serves as a constant reminder of its own inadequacy, bearing a striking resemblance to multiple sites that are far superior to it, especially sports betting sites which, in some cases, have substantially more options available for casino players than this actual online casino does.
A light green, chewing gum shade frames the otherwise white site, and thumbnails on the homepage aid with navigation, as they do at every online casino, while another staple, models with confused looks on their faces who are clearly supposed to look enticing, can also be spotted randomly around the homepage.
TopTally is simple boring in every way when it comes to its design, it doesn’t do anything wrong, except only doing everything okay.
When the market is this competitive, you don’t want your online casinos to be normal, or ordinary, you want excitement, risk taking, something unique, and you get none of that here.
Games
With titles coming from the likes of 1X2 Network, Blueprint Gaming, ELK Studios, Evolution, Microgaming, NetEnt, NextGen Gaming, NeoGames, Play'n GO, Realistic Games, SBTech, SG Digital, and Thunderkick, it would not be fair to say that the collection of games is bad here, what it is, however, is not good enough to make up for the rest of TopTally’s shortcomings.
The terrible design, the general feeling of minimal effort, can’t be undone by an array of games that offers choice, but less choice than any of the best sites in the industry.
TopTally is a new casino, it should be working as hard as it possibly can to stand out, but instead it seems to be slipping behind the leaders of the pack, like a distance runner may.
The problem is, the online casino endurance race comes after the sprint, before a site can work on long-term popularity, it needs to make an immediate impact by pushing out ahead of those more established sites, and TopTally makes absolutely no attempt to do so.
