Game

A cluster of chips hovers on the left-hand side of the rim of the table, awaiting your attention.

Once you have set up the table to your liking and placed your bets, click Deal. Minimum bet is £1, and maximum is £100.

In the bottom right of the screen are five dealing options – hit, stand, double, split or surrender.

This Playtech version of blackjack surrender features a major difference from Las Vegas Strip gameplay. So, if the dealer's up card is a face card or ace card, then the player has the option to surrender, but only once the dealer has checked for a blackjack. However, if you choose to take this Late Surrender, it will cost you half of your initial wager.

However, if you combine the correct Basic Strategy with the Late Surrender, it can be exceptionally advantageous, as it can lower the House Edge by up to 0.07%. If you do decide to surrender, it should be based on the value of your hand and the value of the dealers up card.

If the dealer has a blackjack, they will turn over their Hold Card and collect your bets. If you also have blackjack, you will Push, and retain your original bet.

The tally of your winnings is displayed in the bank on the bottom left of the screen.
